Patent Department, Polychemicals Division, E.I. duPont de Nemours & Co., Wilmington, Delaware. Involved primarily in patent prosecution and licensing of patents and inventions relating to polymer chemistry. Title: Patent Attorney.
1964-1969
Private practice, Washington D.C. Partner in Plumley, Tyner & Sandt. Clients included Bayer Co., Professor Ziegler and the Max Planck Institute in Germany, Exxon, Archer Daniels Midland, and The Dow Chemical Co. Patent prosecution and U.S. and international patent litigation in the area of polymer chemistry.
1969-1994
Patent Department, The Dow Chemical Co., Midland, Michigan. Responsible for patent and trade secret litigation of the company including advising management on financial impact of such. Other responsibilities included overseeing company trade secret protection and educating and mentoring of younger attorneys. Participated directly in all phases of litigation, i.e., discovery, trial and damage determination, many involving polymer chemistry. Title: Associate Patent Counsel.
